Biography of Kaleen
Marie-Sophie Kreissl, professionally known as Kaleen, is an Austrian singer, dancer, and choreographer born on November 12, 1994. Raised in Ried im Traunkreis, Upper Austria, she hails from a musical lineage as the granddaughter of composer Hanneliese Kreißl-Wurth.
Kaleen's journey into the entertainment industry began early, with ballet lessons at age two and her first Austrian championship title at seven. Influenced by artists like Dua Lipa, Little Mix, and Ariana Grande, she ventured into dance competitions, including the German version of Got to Dance in 2014, where she reached the final.
Transitioning to choreography and direction, Kaleen has worked with ORF since 2020 and founded her record label, Wifi Records, in 2021. Her debut album, "Stripping Feelings" was released in September 2023.
With extensive involvement in the Eurovision and Junior Eurovision Song Contests since 2018, Kaleen's roles range from stand-in singer to creative director for various countries supporting Austria, Armenia, Germany and Georgia in 2023 in Liverpool.
Austria's Eurovision Song Contest entry, "We Will Rave," embodies the trend of sending internationally appealing, danceable songs. This pop-dance anthem stands out with its professionally produced video clip, shot by Rankin in Los Angeles, featuring five male models from "Germany's Next Top Model" alongside Kaleen, despite her not being a contestant on the show.

While the song's infectious beat invites listeners to dance, its underlying message carries a hint of destruction, portraying broken-hearted individuals who opt to bury their emotions by losing themselves in the rave scene. Despite the somber theme, "We Will Rave" offers an energetic and compelling musical experience.
