Biography of Melody
Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez, known simply as Melody, was born in 1990 in Dos Hermanas, near Seville. Raised in a musical family, it’s no surprise that she began singing at an early age and launched her career as a child star. Her debut single “El baile del gorila” became a number-one hit in Spain and also gained popularity across South America.
With more than 25 years on stage, Melody has firmly established herself as a staple of the Spanish pop scene, celebrated for her vocal talent, charisma, and infectious energy. She has released six studio albums and over 30 singles, including her recent tracks “Bandido” and “Mujer Loba” .
Her appearance at Benidorm Fest, Spain’s national selection for Eurovision, was marked by a bold and unforgettable performance. The public responded enthusiastically, awarding her the majority of the votes and securing her a spot in Basel.

The song was co-written by Melody herself (Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez) along with Alberto Lorite, and further polished by renowned Swedish composers Thomas G:son, Joy Deb, and Peter Boström—names well known in the Eurovision song writing world.
