The alternative rock band Katarsis was formed in Vilnius in 2020 and is composed of Lukas Radzevičius (guitar, vocals), Alanas Brasas (guitar), Emilija Kandratavičiūtė (bass), and Jokūbas Andriulis (drums). Known in their home country for a melancholic soundscape, Katarsis blends elements of dark alternative and post-punk, crafting emotionally rich compositions marked by stark contrasts and introspective moods.

Their debut single, “Vasarą Galvoj Minoras”, was released in 2020, followed by the band’s first EP, “Dausos”, in 2024.

After advancing through five preliminary heats and elimination rounds, Katarsis triumphed in Lithuania’s Eurovizija national final, securing the highest number of votes in the super final. With this victory, they are set to represent Lithuania as the nation’s 25th Eurovision entry in Basel.
