Biography of Remember Monday
For the first time since 1999, the United Kingdom is sending a girl group to the Eurovision Song Contest. The trio, called Remember Monday, is made up of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte Steel—long-time friends who grew up together in Farnborough, Hampshire, just west of London. The group originally went by the name Houston before adopting ‘Remember Monday’, a nod to the day they always met to rehearse and reconnect.
In 2019, they gained national attention by finishing fourth on ‘The Voice UK’ under the mentorship of Jennifer Hudson. Beyond the competition, all three members boast impressive musical theatre credentials, having performed in acclaimed productions such as ‘Les Misérables’, ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Mary Poppins’ and ‘Six’.
Determined to pursue music full-time, the group left their day jobs behind and released two Eps ‘Hysterical Women’ and ‘Crazy Anyway’, along with a dozen singles. Their UK tour saw sold-out venues, and their fan base has continued to grow steadily.
Known for their stunning vocal harmonies and creative covers, Remember Monday rose to viral fame on social media, particularly TikTok, where they’ve built a following of over half a million and racked up more than 11.3 million likes.
The BBC kept the identity of the UK’s Eurovision 2025 act under wraps until the very last moment, making it all the more surprising when a well-established and beloved group was finally revealed. With both talent and a loyal fan base behind them, Remember Monday could be one of the UK’s most promising entries in years.

The UK’s entry, “What The Hell Just Happened?” is a cheerful, feel-good anthem with a warm-hearted melody that instantly draws listeners in. Remember Monday’s signature harmonies shine throughout the track, blending seamlessly into a euphonious standout amid this year’s diverse Eurovision line-up in Basel.
The song playfully captures the chaos of a wild night out with friends, followed by that all-too-relatable morning-after moment of confusion: What actually happened? Can anyone remember? With its catchy chorus and relatable lyrics, it brings humour and charm to the stage.
Broke a heel,
Lost my keys,
Scraped my knee,
When I fell from the chandelier.
Oh what a night,
I don't mind,
It was time to unwind and I volunteered.
Still riding the creative momentum sparked by Liverpool’s hosting duties in 2023, the UK continues to deliver high-quality, engaging entries to the Eurovision Song Contest. If their infectious energy translates to the live performance, Remember Monday could bring a refreshing burst of fun to Basel, and possibly surprise everyone with how far they go.
