Latvia's entry for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest is titled "Aijā", which interestingly, is a woman's name. This love song stands out for its incorporation of unique sound elements. Despite facing stiff competition in the national final Supernova, "Aijā" emerged as the clear winner, beating out the top favourite Patrisha with her song "Hush". It's worth noting that Latvia tends to send laid-back and unassuming bands to Eurovision, such as Brainstorm, Triana Park, and PeR, with varying degrees of success.
