Joker Out is a Slovenian indie rock band that rose from the ashes of a previous group, Apokalipsa. With a passion for creating unique music, the band was formed in May 2016 by Bojan Cvjetićanin, Martin Jurkovič, Matic Kovačič, Kris Guštin, and Jan Peteh. They released their first single "Kot srce, ki kri poganja" in November of that year, along with a music video. From there, they went on to win the 4th season of the Špil league and perform at many festivals.
Their music evolved with every release, and their first album "Umazane misli" was finally released in October 2021. The band received two Zlata piščal awards for their outstanding work in the music industry, and they continued to push the boundaries with their second album "Demoni", released in August 2022.
But the biggest news for Joker Out came when they were selected to represent Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with their song "Carpe Diem". The band worked hard to create a Slovenian-language song that could be enjoyed by people all over the world. The music video was shot in Slovenia's capital city of Ljubljana and the song premiered on a special Eurovision broadcast in February 2023.
Joker Out is composed of talented musicians who are passionate about their craft. Bojan Cvjetićanin's powerful voice leads the band, with Kris Guštin and Jan Peteh providing guitar and backing vocals. Jure Maček handles the drums, and Nace Jordan recently joined the band as bassist and backing vocalist. With their unique sound and dedication to their music, Joker Out is a band to watch in the coming years.
