Reiley, also known as Rani Petersen, is a singer and social media influencer from the Faroe Islands. He will represent Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with his song "Breaking My Heart".
Reiley gained international popularity by sharing short covers of existing songs on TikTok, where he currently has over 11 million followers. His biggest hit so far is "Let It Ring" . He signed a record contract with the US label Atlantic Records.
He was selected as a participant in the Danish national selection for Eurovision, Melodi Grand Prix 2023, with "Breaking My Heart". However, he faced the possibility of disqualification when it was discovered that he had performed the song at a festival in Seoul, violating the competition's rules. Ultimately, he was allowed to compete and went on to win the competition, becoming the first person from the Faroe Islands to represent Denmark in Eurovision. His participation in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has been seen as clear favourite from the beginning.

This year marks Denmark's 51st entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. Despite failing to qualify in the past three years, Reiley represents a new hope for the Danes to not only make it to the Grand Final in Liverpool, but also to do very well. Reiley's gender-fluid appearance is striking and is sure to attract a young audience. The song, "Breaking My Heart," is an outstanding example of electro-pop. Reiley's soft and captivating voice, combined with a pleasing melody, has the potential to work wonders in the Eurovision Song Contest.
