It will be the third time for the band Zdob şi Zdub to represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest! In 2005 Zdob şi Zdub debuted with “Boonika Bate Toba” for Moldova and made a fantastic 6th place in Kiev. In Düsseldorf 2011 the band participated again with “So Lucky” and reached the 12th place. This year together with Fraţii Advahov they will perform another unusual song called „Trenuleţul“, which means train.

This year there is not been a regular national contest in Moldova due to the pandemic situation. Instead an expert jury evaluated the singers and songs in a live audition.
