Italy celebrates its San Remo Festival 2022. The winner will represent the host country in Turin

The Italian institution “San Remo Festival” is going into another round. Within five days the most popular music fest will show the latest Italian music productions. Every night the participants will undergo different scenarios, with repetition nights, cover version night, etc. At the end the press, a demoscopic jury and televoters will determine the winner. The winner has the chance to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Turin this year.

So it’s even more important for the Italian music industry to find an adequate follower of last year’s ESC winner Måneskin. The host of this year’s festival will be Amadeus a famous radio and TV representative.

Among the participants, there are three former ESC representatives: Emma (2014), Mahmood (2019) and Farbrizio Moro (2018), Massimo Ranieri (1971 & 1973), Giandi Morandi (1970) and Iva Zanicchi (1969).
