Spain has made its decision: Chanel will be the representative with a sexy dance song called “SloMo”
This year Spain will be contributing a dance song to the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin. The attractive singer Chanel could convince the jury mostly with the song “SloMo”. The perfect and sexy choreography was an eye catcher and it will definitely stand out in Turin. The televoters saw Chanel only on the third place, while the demoscope panel saw her on second place. Nevertheless, this ambiguous result shows that there is not a clear winner, who has the entire country on its side.
Rigoberta Bandini from Catalunia could reach the second place with the extraordinary song and performance of “Ay Mama”, while the ethno group Tanxagueiros with “Terra” came third. This song was the favourite of the Spanish televote.
It was great to see that Pastora Soler has opened the show, who could reach the 10th place with “Quédate conmigo” in Baku 2012, she also introduced her new song “Que hablen de mi”.

My first Eurovision Song Contest I watched behind the walls of the former GDR in 1987. This was even possible at that time! Since then I am following the ESC every year on TV. In 2004 I had the chance to watch it live in Istanbul. Due to the fact that Jens and Bernd have collected many interviews, photos, etc. the idea came up to show all this contest to the public. We founded the website eurovisionlive.com and we have been one of the first to offer the medium internet for the Eurovision Song Contest.
