Like in the past years the Irish final is part of the popular “The Late Late Show” on RTE One with Ryan Tubridy. This year comedian Patrick Kielty is the new presenter. Normally the ESC special edition for this night is 100% concentrated on Eurovision, with former ESC singers, the song presentations and the voting.
The results consists of three parts: televoting, national jury and international jury.
These are the six contestants:
Erica-Cody – “Love me like I do”
Alisha – “Go Tobann”
Jyellowl feat. Toshin – “Judas”
Isabella Kearny – “Let me be the fire”
Bambie Thug – “Doomsday Blue”
Next In Line – “Love like us”
There are quite progressive songs in this year’s collection. Let’s see if the Irish are brave enough to try something new or if they stick to the old recipe. Unfortunately, Ireland is struggling with good results in recent years. The last time Ireland made it to the Grand Final was in 2018 with Ryan O’Shaughnessy – “Together” made the 16th rank in Lisbon.
The Late Late show starts at 22:35 (CET).

As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
