At first the Slovenian broadcaster RTVLSO has planned a national final. But in the selection process of an international jury panel, one song has convinced with an overwhelming majority. Hence, the national final has been cancelled, therefore there has been a direct nomination of the singer Raiven with the song “Veronika”.
The song has officially been presented on a Saturday evening at prime time in the main programme. Despite of not having a national final, the broadcaster has brought some Eurovision vibes into this programme with a lot of ESC melodies, Raiven was also interpreting an ABBA song.
This is the fourth confirmed ESC entry for this season.
