There has been a national final again. The TV studio in Berlin Adlershof has opened its doors for the nine hopeful candidates. The show has been hosted by Barbara Schöneberger again. The highly motivated studio guests and attending audience created a warm and exciting atmosphere. One of the guests was ESC legend Mary Roos, also Conchita was among the guests and even handed over the trophy. Conchita and Rae Garvy have also contributed the wildcard candidate Floryan, who came second last unfortunately. Of course that’s a pity that the extra casted wildcard singer has obviously not been the right choice.

In the bets the singer Ryk was the clear favourite, but the international juries have put him on the fifth place. The former ESC representative Max Mutzke (8th Place in Istanbul 2004), came second with the jury votes and at the end with the public votes. At the end Isaak could make the race with the highest votes from both juries and televoting. Interesting to see was ESC singer Michelle (8th place in Copenhagen 2001) in the audience to support her daughter Marie Reim. Marie had a great dance show, even the background dancers have put of their shirts and danced topless. Unfortunately, this has not convinced the juries nor the public.

This is the final result:
