Tonight, The Late Late Show on RTÉ will be transformed for a special Eurosong edition, serving as Ireland’s national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. Replacing the usual talk show format, host Patrick Kielty will lead an exciting night featuring special guests—all past Eurovision winners: Linda Martin (1992), Niamh Kavanagh (1993), and Eimear Quinn (1996).
A feedback panel will provide expert insights, including last year’s Irish representative, Bambie Thug, who secured an impressive 6th place in the Grand Final, alongside Donal Skehan, Laura Fox, and Arthur Gourounlian.
This year marks Ireland’s 58th entry into the Eurovision Song Contest. In recent years, Irish hopefuls have faced challenges in qualifying for the Grand Final. Since 2013, only three acts have made it through: Ryan Dolan with Only Love Survives (26th place, Malmö 2013), Ryan O’Shaughnessy with Together (16th place, Lisbon 2018), and Bambie Thug with Doomsday Blue (6th place, Malmö 2024).
You can watch the live transmission on the RTÉ Player at 22.35 CET

Adgy – „Run into the Night„
Bobbi Arlo – „Powerplay„

Reylta – „Fire“

As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
