Buoyed by last year’s success, Croatia is proving itself a strong contender at Eurovision. Baby Lasagna’s hit “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” secured an impressive second place in Malmö, marking Croatia’s best-ever result in the competition. While the country previously claimed victory with Riva in 1989—when it was still part of Yugoslavia—this year marks Croatia’s 30th participation as an independent nation.
After two intense semi-finals, tonight’s grand final will see 16 competitors battle for victory. The results will be determined by a 50/50 split between public voting and eight jury groups. The event will be broadcast live from the Marino Cvetković Sports Hall in Opatija.

As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
