Last year, Luxembourg made a triumphant return to the Eurovision Song Contest after a 30-year hiatus. The comeback sparked a wave of enthusiasm and celebration. A national final was organized, hosted by none other than Desirée Nosbusch, the iconic presenter of the 1984 Eurovision from Luxembourg. The event was a star-studded affair, with many legends from Eurovision history joining the festivities.
In the end, Tali emerged as the winner of the national contest, representing Luxembourg in Malmö. Tali not only reached the Grand Final but also secured an impressive 13th place. The return of Luxembourg to the Eurovision stage after so many years undoubtedly brought joy to countless fans.
With the same spirit and positive energy as last year, this year’s edition aims to build on the success and excitement of Luxembourg’s Eurovision return. An international jury has carefully selected this year’s seven finalists. Notably, the jury included former Eurovision stars such as Marie Myriam (France 1977), Niamh Kavanagh (Ireland 1993, 2010), Poli Genova (Bulgaria 2011, 2016), and Eldar Qasimov (Azerbaijan 2010). Their expertise has added a special touch to the selection process, keeping the momentum alive for another exciting year.
The show will be held at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette, just outside Luxembourg City. Hosting the event will be Raoul Roos and Loïc Juchem again. The winner will be determined through a balanced voting system, with 50% of the votes coming from the public via televoting and the other 50% from the jury.
The Luxembourg Song Contest will be broadcast on Saturday, January 25, at 20:00 CET on RTL.

As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
