This year we can again expect something very special from Russia. Three girls, who form the group Serebro, will perform a song just titled “Song # 1”. In comparison Helena Paparizou’s winning song in 2005 named quite similar “My number one”! Judging by the video clip of Serebro the song appears very strong and catchy. The interlude is filled with spectacular dancing sequences and is totally convincing: absolutely 2007! There is no denying that this entry is going to be found among the favorites. |
Russia is a kind of phenomenon in the Eurovision Song Contest. Nobody could ever imagine that Russia is always going to have a very good hand in the choice of the songs and artists to be send to Eurovision. Especially in the kind of presentation and modernity Russia somehow took the part of the signpost for the other countries. Remember Alsou with “Solo” in 2000 as well as last year’s Dima Bilan with “Never let you go” who both came 2nd in the end. Russia wants the contest being held in Moscow one day and does every effort to impress with it’s high quality music choice.
