The UK is back with a national final! The BBC has probably seen that their direct nominations have not been successful enough. The UK has been one of the most successful countries in the ESC in history, but recently the interest has decreased massively, as the other countries e.g. Sweden have taken a lead in contemporary music.

Now six candidates will have the chance to qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. All of the six entries are radio friendly and easy to listen to and there is no gimmick song like last year. Let’s hope the UK will find the best song.

These are the six candidates:

1.  Joe & Jake – “You’re Not Alone”
2.  Bianca – “Shing A Little Light”
3.  Dulcima – “When You Go”
4.  Matthew James – “A Better Man”
5.  Darline – “Until Tomorrow”
6.  Karl William Lund – “Miracle”
