After the great victory of Jamala for the Ukraine at the 2016 ESC it is now in the hands of the Ukrainian ESC committee to find the perfect host city for the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest next year. There have been many rumours in the internet that the ESC may not be taking place in the Ukraine due to financial problems. Even if there are financial issues, the EBU is also helping countries in all concerns.
The possible host cities would be: Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, Charkov, Dnipropetrowsk and Cherson. There were also people who wanted the ESC to be held on Crimea. Due the unclear political situation this would not be possible.
There will also be a matter of size in concern of the venue, the Olympic stadium in Kiev is also in the discussion, but there is no roof at the moment and this might be unsuitable for the ESC. The former venue Palace of Sports might be too small for nowadays demand.
Very soon the host city will be announced.

My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
