We have been following the fourth day here at the ESC in Stockholm, these are the findings of today:
ManuElla from Slovenia is doing much better than in the national final. The stage is plain and she was wearing a white unconspicuous dress. There is a Danish acrobat on stage with his topless who is using a big rod to catch people’s attention.
A very good rehearsal had the Bulgarian singer Poli Genova. The stage looked like a big disco dancefloor. Poli was wearing extraordinary tights with white stripes, bold earrings and a black leather outfit, very sexy though.
The Danish boy group Lighthouse was using illuminated microphone stand, all three singers were dressed in black, which appears a bit too dark as the stage is not very dark already. A smooth rehearsal, at the end they use the aisle of the catwalk.
And Jamala from the Ukraine had one of the best rehearsals so far. This is THE goose bumps song, which is really touching and this has caused the biggest applause in the press centre. Jamala was wearing a black and tasteful dress. The floor illumination was phenomenal, it appears that she would stand on a floral and moving pedestal. At the climax her high tones transform into a beautiful tree and Jamala stand at the roots which symbolize the . This is absolute stunning, the juries will love it and hopefully the televoters. This is one of the big favourites this year.
The Norwegian singer who is not doing anything with the press due to health issues had a good rehearsal. There is a dancer in the background which is a bit over the top. The stage is ice-blue and this is pleasant for the presentation.
The Young Georgian Lolitaz have made a good impression with their rock song “Midnight Gold”. There are also some modern techniques being used to make this song even more overturned, but in a very positive way. This song will have it’s fans.
With the Albanian song a lot of people here cannot really enthral for. This song is too bulky, has no melody and does not stick in people’s memory. The stage presentation was a bit uninspired, notching really catchy.
Belgium had a fresh start, a lot dancing and a disco floor. Laura’s voice appears a bit thin. The song doesn’t have climax or key change. The press centre was delighted. This might be a good final song for Thursday.
