![]() Here we have another country new to the Eurovision: Andorra! The international interest in the Eurovision Song Contest has reached unpredictable dimensions. Who knows what new countries will want to participate next year? Moldavia, Uzbekistan or maybe even the Vatican? What a shame that other countries like Italy or Luxembourg have withdrawn themselves from the Contest altogether. New countries have always brought new energy to the Eurovision and presented different, sometimes less well known styles of music to an international audience. And that is exactly what the Song Contest is about and what makes it interesting. Andorra's debut has been very dear to their national TV-station RTVA and they put in a lot of effort in order to produce an excellent show. Marta Roure managed to win the national final with a song called "Jugarem a estimar-nos". The song is sung in Catalan, it's catchy up-tempo tune stays right with you after only listening to it for a few times. The best of luck from us to Andorra! |
