It’s raining in Rotterdam, but it does not harm the Eurovision flow. All delegations of today seemed to be excited and fascinated by the huge stage. Today the first half of the semi-final 2 had their time to rehearse. While the online press centre has become livelier and there is a tough schedule to be followed.
Tusse, whose real name is Tousin Chiza was born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo in 2002. As a child he had to flee, was separated from his parents, due to the bellicose situation in the country. Tusse came to Sweden without parents firstly, lived in several places and then moved in with his family in a little village called Kullsbjörken, close to Leksand in the region Dalarna.
Manizha’s real name is Manischa Dalerowna Sangin and was born in Dushanbe, USSR (now Tajikistan) in 1991. She starting singing as a child and took part in many competitions. In 2011 Manizha joined the Russian group Assai with whom she toured around Russia and played on many festivals.
Ana Soklič was born in Bohinj North West of Ljubljana in 1984. She studied opera and jazz and also took part in the X Factor show. Ana also performed at Veneto Jazz Festival in Venice in a solo concert and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. She is also singing in small ensembles. Three times she has already taken part in the national Slovenian EMA final.
The Roop is a group for three musicians: Vaidotas Valiukevičius (vocals, keyboard), Mantas Banišauskas (guitar) and Robertas Baranauskas (drums) which has been founded in the capital Vilnius in 2014. Their debut album “To Whom It May Concern” has been released in 2015. The second album “Ghost” has been published in 2017. The Roop is doing a mix of pop, rock, dance and indie. They like festivals and have been touring throughout the world e.g. Belgium, Germany, France, Romania, Serbia, Portugal, Australia, Brazil, Colombia and USA.
