Among this year’s finalists there are the one or two favourites to find. Read here about the first impression.
These are the first open rehearsals for the finalists. The other delegations are having off today. Tomorrow will be the opening ceremony.
These are the first impressions of the finalist’s stage shows:
France -> Green colours are filling the stage for France, a cool rhythm comes along the yelling voice of the girls. An impressing beat is going on and the French group is rocking the stage. This kind of song could have also come from Eastern Europe, but it actually Breton, a regional language of France. The way, how the song is being presented remind of last year’s Ukrainian entry from Go_A. Due to the fact that this is a real electro song, with which Alvan is normally bringing crowds to dance on concerts, this entry will certainly stand out as well. Rehearsal Clip
Italy -> Normally the host country’s stag shows are produced with a better look for the detail so this year as well. The Italians have a reduced stage show, a dark stage with lots of spotlights on Mahmood and Blanco. There is a huge piano with a table, where Blanco is going to sit in-between. This is a stunning atmosphere the illumination towards the end of the song is really glittering and suitable for ‘brvidi’. This performance will guarantee goosebumps and the Italians are there for sure one of the big favourites. Rehearsal Clip
United Kingdom -> Sam Ryder has a great voice with this charismatic and authentic attitude he appears sympathetic. The stage show of the UK entry this year is characterised by a big cage which looks like a space rocket. Sam is wearing an astronauts’ uniform with paillettes. The greatest views from this stage appearance are the long shots. which really look like being in space. At the end of the show Sam is gripping a guitar and rock the stage. This might be a little bit too much put in within three minutes, but this is still a great entry with a high winning potential. Rehearsal Clip
Spain -> The Spanish team has changed a little bit in the song, so the entry starts with Cuban guitar music then the real song begins it has gained more Latin American flavour due to the fact that the singer Chanel comes from Cuba. The outfit of Chanel is really an eye catcher, a mix of a torero outfit with glittering gemstones and a very sexy pants, some people would even say too sexy. The choreography is well elaborated and a there are obvious similarities Eleni Foueira’s “Fuego” from 2018. There are some cool effects, which will assure to make the song shine. Summarized it’s a breath taking and stunning stage show. Rehearsal Clip
Germany -> The German singer Malik has given a solid stage performance in his state show there's mainly one camera only the steadicam who's concentrated on the things Malik is doing on stage it looks like a living room with carpets or music studio with various instruments. Malik is going around and shows what he is able to play. The lights are bringing a cosy and intimate atmosphere. Good job. Rehearsal Clip
