Another exciting day in Turin has come to an end. Great stage shows can be expected.
It can’t be denied that there are technical problems all over in particular with the sound, the in-ear function for the singers, furthermore the camera work seems to be a great challenge for RAI. Furthermore, the previously announced super stage, is not working as planned. The clock is ticking, there is not much time until the first live show on Tuesday. Let’s hope and cross our fingers that the live broadcast is going to run smoothly.
This is a quick overview of the rehearsals from yesterday:
Australia -> The charismatic singer Sheldon Riley is standing on a construction, surrounded by a dark coloured stage and light spots on him. He appears like a white swan with an extraordinary white outfit and his typical crystal face mask. His voice is always stunning and stable. Rehearsal Clip
Cyprus -> The Cypriots have brought their own props for the stage in Turin foresightedly. It looks like a big shell in wave. It looks great when Andromache sings her summer song “Ela”. Optically this one will stand out. Rehearsal Clip
Ireland -> The lovely Brooke has obviously enjoyed her rehearsal. She was wearing a light blue outfit, very sexy though, even her micro has a glittering cover. She is surrounded by her backing singers and dancers, there are a lot of pyros being used for the uplifting Irish entry. Rehearsal Clip
North Macedonia -> The North Macedonian delegation has decided to have a reduced stage. It’s only being played with colours in the background. The anyway dark stage will lead to the effect that a lot of entries appear darker than supposed. Rehearsal Clip
Estonia -> The very sympathetic singer Stefan is looking great on stage, wearing beige jeans and a beige jacket with rivets, which looks like a Western jacket 2022. His three-day-beard is certainly a plus in this performance. The cowboys from the national final do not appear anymore. The arrows in the background seem to interfere with the planned stage show. Rehearsal Clip
Romania -> There no big differences between the performance in the national final, the outfits are a bit sexier and more traditional. WRS has is doing a more elaborated choreography. The striking chorus and the twist are very catchy. Rehearsal Clip
Poland -> As expected, the Polish stage show is dramatic. Dark colours with rain, flashes and mystic dancers. Even the picture direction includes some distortions. Overall, this show effect Ochman’s voice triumphs. Definitely, this is one of this year’s favourites. Rehearsal Clip
Montenegro -> Vladana looks great on stage. Her outfit is very special, an illuminated part of her dress appears like a halo. She is also standing in front of the stage and utilizes the waterfalls from the stage to have a different view. Vocally, Vladana is top. Rehearsal Clip
Belgium - > Orange is the dominating colour on the Belgian stage. It is great to see that the entire arena will be included in the stage show to generate atmosphere. Jérémie and his backing singers look great on stage. A light touch of Michael Jackson can’t be overseen. Rehearsal Clip
Sweden -> This exactly the same stage show like the one from the Swedish national final. The green disc behind Cornelia has not been working properly firstly. The Swedes also profit from bringing their own props, so they are not dependent on the given circumstances. Cornelia is wearing her silver lametta top, she looks great as always and the play with the microphone stand reminds of Lena Philipsson’s “It Hurts”. Rehearsal Clip
Czech Republic -> The first electro song with the concert feeling. The band has a great enthusiasm and everybody is going to feel that as well. In the background, statues appear and break apart. The black arches are a bit disturbing. Rehearsal Clip
