All songs of this year's ESC have been submitted and the video clips are unveiled
By now all of the 40 participating countries have submitted their entries for the ESC in Turin. The long weeks of national selections processes and finals are over. Hence all of the entries have provided video clips, sometimes extra produced ones, sometimes the recording of their winning performance. But it’s also the first time to make your own first impressions for the 2022 season.
Now the performers are working on their stage show for Turin and the bets will start as all songs are known. Interesting to see that in this year there are 30% male solo singers, 38% female solo singers, 5% duos and 28% bands. Furthermore we will have 30% slow songs, 38% medium speed songs and 33% fast songs.
It’s no surprise to see many bands this year, as last year’s winner Måneskin has paved the way. On the other side there are a lot of calm songs, which also shows that it’s also a thoughtful time with many problems in the world. Especially the war in Ukraine will have an effect on the entire event. The big question is, are the Ukrainians able to travel to Turin? Will they still be able to take part? In the bets Ukraine is already the big favourite.
This is a short recap of all the videos:
