Who will represent Romania in Turin? Ten acts will compete in tonight's show
For Romania it’s going to be the 22nd Eurovision entry. Since 1994 Romania takes part in the Eurovision Song Contest with some songs which were close to victory, six songs reached the Top 10. Unfortunately, Romania did not reach the Grand Finals since 2017 anymore. In tonight’s national final “Selecţia Naţională“ ten acts will compete for the trip to Turin.
There have been two semi-finals where the Romanian public could vote for 100%, in tonight’s final there will only be a jury of five members determine the Romania representative. The show will be hosted by Anca Mazilu and Bogdan Stănescu and can be watched live at TVR International.
Jamala, the Ukrainian ESC winner from 2016 will be one of the guest stars of the show. It’s going to be a very emotional moment due to the current situation in Ukraine.

About me: As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
