There will be another Saturday packed with Eurovision shows. Australia and Finland will have their national finals
Despite of the terrible war, which is going on in the Ukraine these days, there will be national finals for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The big question is, is it ok to hold entertainment show, when such a cruelty is ongoing at the same time? A lot of EBU members have uttered their concern if Russia would take part in Turin they will withdraw their own participation.
This weekend we are looking at two national finals; in Australia “Australia Decides” on Saturday morning and the popular UMK in Finland at 20.00 CET. Furthermore there will be the first semi-final in Iceland “Söngvakeppnin” and the fourth edition of the Swedish Melodifestivalen.

About me: As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
