
The first heat of this year's Melodifestivalen is going to begin. Who will Sweden sent to Turin this year?
The very popular Swedish national pre-decision show “Melodifestivalen” is going to kick off tonight. The show is one of the most watched show in Sweden and even outside the country a lot of people tune in, to follow the battle for the crown. Normally the standard of the songs and show is very high and the presented entries are already complete to be shown on the Eurovision stage. Like every year the Swedish Television SVT puts a lot of effort in an up-to-date stage show and choreography.
Due to the corona pandemic the annual tour through various Swedish cities, all events will take place in the newly named Avicii Arena (Globen) only. The host of the show will be Oscar Zia, who has participated as an artist in the festival for several times. Robin Bengtsson has already represented Sweden in Kiev 2017 with “I Can’t Go On” and made a fabulous 5th place. Shirley Clamp is also very well-known in Sweden and she also participated several times in the Melodifestivalen.
