The quarter-finals are over now, but now it's time for the semi-finals in Estonia's Eesti Laul. Watch tonight at 18.30 CET
This year the format of the Estonian national pre selection has changed. Instead of two semi-finals and a grand final, there are four quarter-finals with 10 participant each. Those have been held last year already and the best 20 songs have been chosen by a jury and televoting. As always there is a good choice of contemporary music from Estonia, which is worth to watch and listen to.
Tonight the first semi-final will be held and hosted by no less than Maarja-Liis Ilus, who has participated twice for Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest (1996 together with Ivo Linna “Kaelakee Hääl” #5 and 1997 “Keelatud Maa” #8) together with Priit Loog.
Among the participants there are some familiar faces: Stig Rästa (2015 together with Elina Born “Goodbye To Yesterday” #7), Evelin Samuel (1999 together with Camille “Diamond Of Night” #6), Elina Nechayeva (2018 “La Forza” #8), Ott Lepland (2012 “Kuula” #6th) and Anna Sahlene (2002 “Runaway” #3). And of course there are some singers, who have been in the Eesti Laul before like STEFAN, Púr Múdd, etc.
These are the semi-finalists in the running order:

About me:
As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
