Australia – For the second time in ESC history will have a national final “Australia decides” in Gold Coast. Beside the hosts Joel Creasey and Myf Warhorst there will be some interesting guests such as last year’s Australian representative Kate-Millher Heidke, Måns Zelmerlöw (winner 2015 Sweden), Dami Im (Australian singer 2016) and Jordan Anthony (Australia’s representative in the Junior ESC).
Among the 10 participants there will be the Australian super star Vanessa Amorosi. Here you can listen to all the Australian songs.
Latvia – The Latvian national final “Supernova” has only one Grand Final with 9 participants, instead of having two semi finals.
Italy – In the final night of the San Remo Festival, the winner is eligible to represent Italy in the ESC. Francesco Gabbani gives it another try as well as Raphael Gualazzi. Let’s see, who is making the race and who is willing to represent the Italian colours in Rotterdam.
Iceland – The Icelandic selection show is called “Söngvakepnin” and is very popular with very high viewing rates. In two semi finals, the Icelandics are able to determine their favourite singers for the Grand Final on 29 February.
Norway – The Norwegian pre selection marathon has come the 5th round with the entries from Norther Norway.
Sweden – This is the second show in this year’s Melodifestivalen live from Gothenburg. This time, two former ESC representants are going to give it another try: Jan Johansen (1995 “Se på mig”) and Anna Bergendahl (2010 “This is my life”).
