
Now it’s official: the 65th Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam 2020 will take place with 41 countries. This is the same number of participating countries like this year in Tel Aviv. Surprisingly, two countries have withdrawn: Hungary and Montenegro, but therefore two countries will come back after a year’s pause: Bulgaria and Ukraine. Of course a country is able to withdraw after the official deadline but only with paying a penalty fee. So until March there is still room for surprises.

But some countries which have not been seen for quite a while have not returned neither like Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Luxembourg, Monaco, Morocco, Slovakia and Turkey.
