For the first the Eurovision convention named “Unescon” took place in Hanover, Germany. This special Eurovision event has been organized by Dr Eurovision Irving Wolter in collaboration with Eurovision.de outside the Eurovision season. Beside of the gala concert on Saturday night there has been a vivid touristic programme for the guests, meet & greet and a welcome dinner. Tickets prices ranged from 65 – 159 EUR.
The highlight of this event was the gala concert in the Pavillion Hanover. Among the Eurovision artists there were: Corinna May (Germany 2002), Claes-Göran Hederström (Sweden 1968), Chiara (Malta 1998, 2005 and 2009), Manuela Bravo (Portugal 1979), Chingiz (Azerbaijan 2019), Elina Nechayeva (Estonia 2018) and Sebnem Paker (Turkey 1996 and 1997).
All artists have been accompanied by the live orchestra “Orchester im Treppenhaus” and background singers. The ESC singers did not only sing their own ESC songs from the past, but also from different singers. Elina Nechayeva and Chingiz sang the winning entry 2019 “Arcade” in a lovely duet.
Generally it was a very well-made concert and the orchestra sound gave it a special atmosphere.
