From the sunny Mediterranean coast of Tel Aviv, 26 finalist will be competing for the trophy of this year’s ESC. It’s the third time that Israel is broadcasting the Eurovision Song Contest, 1979 and 1999 from Jerusalem, this year the first time in Tel Aviv.
Believe it or not, the time has come now for the 64th Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Tonight the biggest live music show of the world will be broadcasted all over Europe and Australia, also other EBU members are able to transmit the show. After all the months and weeks of preparation the big work load has come to an end.
From the sunny Mediterranean coast of Tel Aviv, 26 finalist will be competing for the trophy of this year’s ESC. It’s the third time that Israel is broadcasting the Eurovision Song Contest, 1979 and 1999 from Jerusalem, this year the first time in Tel Aviv.
There will be a flag parade in the beginning accompanied by Netta and previous winner Dana International (1998) and the first Israeli representative Ilanit (1973) as well as Gali Atari (1978) and they will all sing “Hallelujah”.
In this year’s interval act former ESC stars are going to perform the song from each other called “song switch”. Conchita will sing “Heroes”, Måns Zelmerlöw will sing “Fuego”, Elenia Foureira will sing “Dancing Lasha Tumbai” and Verka will sing “Toy”.
As one of the highlights this year, world star Madonna is going to present her new song “Future” from the new album “Madame X” with the US rapper Quavo. “Like A Prayer” will also be performed.

On the last ranks are Estonia, Albania, San Marino, Israel and Germany.
The voting procedure will happen as usual in the previous years. 50% of the votes are coming from the national juries, they have been submitted in the jury final yesterday. Each jury will give their points in the usual way. After that 50% of the votes will come from televoting from all the 41 countries in this year’s competition, also those countries, which have not qualified for the Grand Final. The announcement will be made by the hosts in an ascending order to keep the excitement.
