Israel is this year’s host country of the Eurovision Song Contest. It’s tremdendously important that the host entry will also shine in Grand Final of the ESC. In the ESC history we have seen that host country’s entries sometimes get an extra bonus in regards of the points. But sometimes the host entries seems to fail like last year, when Claudia Pascoral sang the Portuguese host entry “O Jardim”, which came last in the Grand Final of Lisbon.

This year, Israel is taking all the power to the opera singer Kobi Marimi. The ESC song has now been unveiled: “Home” it’s just a simple and understandable message to the international spectators. Kobi has won the “Israel’s next star” show and the song has extra been composed for him.
