It’s quite sad to announce that Bulgaria will not participate in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. The Bulgarian broadcaster BNT has officially stated that a participation won’t be able due to financial reasons.
It’s quite sad to announce that Bulgaria will not participate in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. The Bulgarian broadcaster BNT has officially stated that a participation won’t be able due to financial reasons.
In the past years Bulgaria has been stronger than ever with two Top 10 placings: Poli Genova “If Love Was A Crime” 2016, 4th place, Kristian Kostov with “Beautiful Mess” 2017, 2nd place and last year’s entry “Bones” by Equinox, who made a solid 14th place in the Grand Final.
The ESC history shows that even if countries refuse their participation it does not mean that they don’t come back next year. Even Bulgaria paused in 2014 and 2015 and came back with great energy and a new sounds.
The music project “Symphonix” was responsible for the great musical quality and the good stage setting in previous years.
Let’s hope that Bulgaria is going to be back in 2020.
