This year the Icelanders have decided to send a ballad sung by a young man to Lisbon. The Icelandic song “Our Choice” – original title “Heim” has won Söngvakeppnin – the Icelandic national final. There has been a great show in the Laugardalshöll Arena in Reykjavik with six finalist. One of the procedures of this national final is also the so called “Super Final”, where the two songs with the highest number of votes fight another time for victory.

There has been a great show in the Laugardalshöll Arena in Reykjavik with six finalist. One of the procedures of this national final is also the so called “Super Final”, where the two songs with the highest number of votes fight another time for victory. Here the competitor Dagur Sigurðsson with “Í Stormi” or “Saviors” (in English) made an impressive stage show.
As guest stars there were the former winner Emmelie De Forrest (Denmark 2013 “Only Teardrops”) and last year’s Swedish performer Robin Bengtsson “I Can’t Go On”.
