Since a couple of years the “Eurovision Village” is a place where the Eurovision Song Contest comes very close to the citizens and visitors of the host city. Here there is a little Eurovision feeling with a lot of merchandising, food and drinks and most importantly a big stage, where artists from the ESC and others can sing and entertain the crowd until late. Normally this is a very nice atmosphere and people get together. It has been planned to be next to the Rotterdam Market Hall / Binnenrotte. The “Eurovision Village” will be tangible from 15 -23 May.
In times of the corona pandemic such a “Eurovision Village” would not meet the security measurements which are extremely important. Instead of a real “Eurovision Village”, a virtual 3D online version has been created. Fans and viewers can immerse themselves in the 3D world of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. It features live concerts by international and Dutch artists such as Johnny Logan and Afrojack.

About me: As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
