It will be the 71st edition of the Italy’s best renowned music festival on TV. The famous and beautifully located little city of San Remo is normally turning into a hot spot for the Italian music industry and is welcoming celebrities from Italy and even beyond. The most well-known Italian songs were songs from this festival. The San Remo Festival has always been seen as the pioneer for the Eurovision Song Contest. It is one week full of long evenings with Italian music.
- Every evening from March 2 – 6, the Italian broadcaster RAIuno will transmit the show at 20.40 CET.
The Ariston Theatre in San Remo will be the location like every year, but due to the special situation this year, the audience will be missing. The festival will be hosted by Amadeus, a popular Italian TV host.
In the first night the first half of the 26 established singers will present their entry for the competition. Furthermore there will be also four newcomers tonight and tomorrow. Various guest stars will make the evening complete like Diodato (last year’s ESC representative), Loredana Bertè an Alessia Bonari.

About me:
As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
