This year there will be another Eesti Laul, the national final in Estonia. The Estonian music show is often picked with great songs of high quality, really worth to watch. In three shows it will be chosen, who is going to represent Estonia in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Due to last year’s cancellation, the Estonian representative Uku Suviste is able to participate again in the national contest, but he has to qualify, unlike other participants in other countries.
The two semi finals with 12 songs each will be broadcasted live on ERR :
- Semi Final 1: 18th February 2021, 20.35 CET
- Semi Final 2: 20th February 2021, 20.35 CET
- Final: 6th March 2021, 20.35 CET
Among this year’s artists there are several singers, who already represented Estonia in the ESC:
- Tanja with “Amazing”, Copenhagen 2014, 12th place in the semi final
- Jüri Pootsman with “Play”, Stockholm 2016, 18th place in the semi final
- Ivo Linna together with Marja-Liis Iljus “Kaelakee Hääl”, Oslo 1996, 5th place
The show will broadcasted from the ERR studios in Tallinn and hosted by Tõnis Niinemets and Grete Kuld. In each semi final, six songs will qualify for the final show. This will be determined by 50% jury voting and 50% televoting. In the final three songs will be selected into a super final by jury and televoting. At the end, only the televoters will decide, who will be the winner.

About me:
As one of the founders of eurovisionlive.com I am responsible for the interviews with the singers and the editorial content. My passion for the Eurovision Song Contest exists since my early childhood. The exotic music, different cultures and languages have given a lot of inspiration to me. Since my very first ESC in Dublin 1994 I particularly appreciate the get together and friendship of all the nationalities and Riverdance was a thrill!
