First of all in behalf of the entire eurovisionlive.com team we would like to wish everybody a happy New Year. In the rush of the world’s general topic, the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 is on its way as well. How everything will look like we will know in a couple of weeks. Since last year we all know, everything can change and even that an annual contest like the ESC can be skipped. Luckily most of the chosen singers for 2020 do have the chance to try it again this year with another song. In some countries there will be new competitions in the national finals like in Belarus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Italy, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Portugal and Sweden.
Previously we reported about the possible scenarios which may happen this year due to the Corona pandemic. It’s likely that we won’t have a “normal” ESC, maybe without audience or the singers need to perform in their home countries. The EBU will take a decision with the Dutch host broadcasters soon. For sure is that the event takes place. The Junior ESC in November can be taken as a successful example that it’s possible to host a live event all over Europe with different locations where the singers can perform. It still has not the same emotional level as a live show with a full arena.
These are the singers, which are already known:
The following countries still need to determine the performers: Armenia, Belarus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden and United Kingdom.
