The German embassy in behalf of Otto Hauser (honorary consul) has invited all German press, media and friends to a special event in the official residential house. The consul has mentioned that this event is unique for Azerbaijan and that these special occasions don’t occur very often here. The German consul emphasised the German support of human rights and the freedom of the press here in Azerbaijan. There were also singers from “Sing for Democracy” present at this event.
Roman Lob, the German entrant this year has been singing his Eurovision song “Standing still” accompanied by the consul himself at the E-piano. The entire German delegation was present. Roman Lob was surrounded by all important German media channels and answered collectively a few questions only there, not individually.
Therefore the godfather and mentor of Roman Lob, Thomas D has given individual interviews. It’s interesting to see that one of the most famous band members for German Rap music supports the Eurovision Song Contest. Unimaginable 20 years ago. A lot of things have changed in recent years. The interest in the ESC is still very high in Germany, as its modern pop music which is also being played by radio stations.
The invited guest enjoyed a German barbeque with potato salad, sausages from the grill and Azeri beer.
