Lithuania 2010

Lithuania

Participant(s): InCulto
Song: East European Funk
Writer(s): InCulto
Composer(s): InCulto

InCulto Lithuania is taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest since 1994. The debut entry “Lopsine Mylimai” by Ovidijus Vyniauskas came last with zero points! Obviously it was a bad start, Lithuania does not such a lucky hand in Eurovision entries like the other Baltic countries Latvia and Estonia. The best place was the 6th with “We are the winners” by LT United in 2006. Over the years, the Lithuanian entries also showed the musical landscape of the country in a very good way with various music styles, pop, folklore, ballads.

This year it’s going to be funk! The group InCulto reminds a bit of LT United. In the video clip you can see the singers of InCulto, don’t take it too seriously, they just seems to have fun. The way they present “Eastern European Funk” is intoxicating, well arranged. This could do well in Oslo. Due to the lack of fast entries this year, Lithuania’s chance are not too bad. Last year, Lithuania also qualified for the final.
