Chanée & N'evergreen Since 1957 Denmark is taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Despite of a break of nearly twelve years, Denmark returned in 1978 with huge success over the years. Altogether there were two victories in 1963 with “Dansevise” by Grethe and Jørgen Ingmann and then in 2000 with “Fly on the wings of love” by the Olsen Brothers. There were several good rankings of 2nd and 3rd places, and memorable entries like “Boom Boom” by Mabel in 1978 (16th) and “Sku' Du Spør Fra No'n” by Hot Eyes in 1985 (11th). The Danish pre selection is getting more and more popular over the recent years and this years’ edition has been a superb show with great love to detail. Congratulations Denmark!

The Danish representatives this year are Chanée & Tomas N’evergreen, a sympathetic duo which could beat the strong Danish competitors in a surprising way. The song “In A Moment Like This” reminds strongly of the duet “One Love” from Carola and Andreas Johnson, which did not qualify in the Swedish pre selection 2008. So this is nothing new at Eurovision and it all depends on the strength of the competing countries how this song will do. Many people believe that is the wrong choice for Denmark, because there were so brilliant entries and the weakest has won.
