Armenia 2009

Armenia Participant(s): Inga & Anush
Song: Jan Jan
Writer(s): Vardan Zadoyan & Avet Barseghyan
Composer(s): Mane Hakobyan

Inga & Anush Since the debut of Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 in Athens the country was quite successful: two eighths and one fourth place! Due to the fact that Armenia is located in the very east of Europe the Asian influences can be heard in the music style. That phenomenon do also share the Caucasian neighbour countries Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The very charismatic sisters Inga & Anush will present a very extravagant and unusual entry to the European audience. “No Par” is a thrilling composition of Western and Eastern styles and rhythm elements. As already mentioned this kind of music is also very popular in countries like India, Iran and Central Asian countries, you can watch similar styled music at MTV India. The video clip is brilliantly made with great costumes, symbols and interesting movements and dances.
The Armenian entry will stand out in Moscow because of it’s originally way – like music from another planet. Let’s hope that the enthusiasm of the video clip will also be transferred to the stage. Good luck Armenia!
