Recently Greece is quite successful in the Eurovision Song Contest. After Helena’s great victory in 2005 with “My Number 1” Greece is always found in the upper positions. The Greek music industry is quite big and the perfect combination of traditional folk elements with modern sounds. Great names like Kati Garbi – who has already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993 – are still found in the Greek charts.

This year there is Kalomira singing “Secret Combination” – it’s a perfect example of the contemporary music taste in Greece. She is looking great and has a great charisma. The refrain of song sticks in your head for a long time. The usage of folk elements is felicitous and don’t even sounds typical Greek it’s even more Bollywood-like! The song sounds positive and is filled with Southern joy de vivre with a good rhythm. Well done Greece!
