As there is already a drag queen act from Denmark this year, the Ukraine has decided to send one of the most successful artists from the former Soviet Union. Verka is so popular in the Ukraine, Russia and the Baltic countries with her strange polka songs. Now she is going to be one of the finalists in Helsinki. Thanks to Tina Carol who brought the Ukraine a very good result with “Show me your love” in Athens.

Verka is special and people like the funny way she presents her songs. With “Danzing” she also might shock the Western European countries. Polka, Polka and Polka...does this work to win Eurovision? Her strange appearance and costume might remind people to the Teletubbies or a kind of android from another galaxy. It’s fun to watch her, but the song is simple and obstrusive. The audience will lover or hate her.
