Spain 2006

Spain

Participant(s): Las Ketchup
Song: Bloody Mary
Writer(s): Manuel Ruiz Gómez (Queco)
Composer(s): Manuel Ruiz Gómez (Queco)

Las Ketchup It a very long time ago when Spain could win the Eurovision Song Contest: 1969! Spain always send high quality songs with were full of passion and melody. Spain belongs to the "Big 4" countries like France, United Kingdom and Germany and is automatically qualified for the final and has not to fight for the 14 empty spots.

All of the "Big 4" countries were place on the last ranks in Kiev, but this year it may be changed totally. Las Ketchup are going to represent Spain in Athens. The "Ketchup-Song" was the summer hit in 2002 and everybody was able to make the special movement with the arms. The four sympathetic girls from Córdoba are going to sing an absolutely different song. Who is expecting another dance-track will be disappointed. "Bloody Mary" is a quiet and dreamy song like you would listen on the radio at night on the highway from Granada to Seville. The song sounds like holidays and even more mature than the competitors this year!
