Ortal France is one of the most important participating countries in the Eurovision Song Contest. The French always send great songs which had a certain brilliancy. Mostly France has send ballads to the Eurovision "Et bonjour A Toi L'Artiste" by Nicole Rieu (Stockholm 1975), modern songs like "Femme Dans Ses Reves Aussi" by Roger Bens (Gothenburg 1985), or extravagant compostions from France's oversea territories like "Monté la Rivié" by Kali (Malmoe 1992).

France, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom are the premium payers for the EBU and therefore automatically qualified for the big final in Kiev - no matter where they ended up last year. That's why France's singer Ortal can present her song "Chacun pense à toi" directly in the final. Luckily the starting position is number 24 - the last postion is always highly demanded, because the song will last longer in the spectators ears. The French song this year is a bit plain. Nice, but easy forgotten.
