Re-union

What would the Eurovision Song Contest be without "Les Pays Bas - 12 points"? Unfortunately The Netherlands did not always do that well, they even had to pause for some Contests, but still they gave us unforgettable songs that were lots of fun at every party like "Amsterdam" sung by Maggie McNeal (Den Haag 1980), "Een beetje" ("A Little Bit") by Teddy Scholten (Cannes 1959) or "Vrede" ("Peace") by Ruth Jacott (Millstreet 1993).

This year The Netherlands are sending a quiet and sensitive song to Istanbul. It's a ballad called "Without you" and will be sung by the two musicians Fabrizio Pennisi and Paul de Corte, who already patricipated in the Dutch final as a duo called "All of us". They had split up for a while but are now singing together again as "Reunion".

With ballads The Netherlands have only come 15th at best in the recent years - that's why this year they have to compete against 21 competitors in the international Qualifying Round first.
