Serbia & Montenegro 2004

Serbia & Montenegro

Participant: Željko Joksimoviæ
Song: Lane moje
Writer(s): Leontina Vukmanoviæ
Composer(s): Leontina Vukmanoviæ

Željko JoksimoviæFor the first time in Eurovision history Serbia & Montenegro will take part in the Contest. If you include former Yugoslavian entries, the country has always provided good songs: "Brazil" by Baby Doll (Rome 1991), "Halo Halo" by Aska (Harrogate 1982) and "Dzulie" sung by Daniel in Munich 1983. Since Yugoslavia has been divided into different countries all of them have become quite successful in the Eurovision Song Contest always sending in well known artists with high quality songs. Serbia & Montenegro adds another beautiful peace to this mosaic of balkan music with a folkloristic but also modern song. "Lane moje" will be sung in Serbian and impresses with its elegance and gracefulness. Zeljko Joksimovic is very well known in his country and he is one of the most popular singers. However Zeljko has to participate in the international Qualifying Round in order to get a spot in the Final. With no doubt he will pass this hurdle easily! Welcome, Serbia & Montenegro!
